The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall guest experience by providing exceptional hospitality services marked by attentiveness, friendliness, and efficiency. This position involves the safe and prompt parking and retrieval of guest vehicles while maintaining a professional demeanor throughout all guest interactions. Responsibilities extend to assisting guests with luggage, managing bell services when applicable, and ensuring smooth communication regarding parking rates and retrieval procedures. The role demands excellent interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of parking operations, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Guest Service Associates are expected to engage with guests warmly, addressing inquiries and providing information related to the facility and local attractions. This full-time position offers an hourly base pay of $24.00 plus tips, reflecting Towne Park’s commitment to competitively compensate their associates, with flexibility in work shifts and days to accommodate business needs. Employees are also eligible to participate in various insurance programs, including accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and a 401k retirement plan, subject to eligibility based on classifications and employment terms. The role requires a valid driver’s license and competencies like safe driving, customer service proficiency, and effective communication. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work
  • one (1) month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • ability to read and write standard English language
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
  • ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
  • acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • uses guest last names during interactions
  • uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
  • practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
  • explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
  • consistently completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle
  • calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
