The Valet Parking Attendant position at Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa is an essential role responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests arriving at the hotel, restaurant, and banquet facilities. This full-time role involves safely driving and parking guest vehicles in designated valet areas, ensuring swift and courteous service at all times. The valet attendant is integral in providing a seamless arrival and departure experience, greeting guests warmly and assisting with luggage and other guest needs when not engaged in parking duties. This role calls for a highly responsible individual who prioritizes safety, professionalism, and efficiency while exceeding guest expectations through proactive personal service. Job Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training
  • Previous similar position in a hotel or similar business entity preferred
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays
  • For insurance purposes candidates must be over 21 years of age
  • Must be able to drive all vehicle types
  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic
  • Ability to stand kneel squat for prolonged periods of time up to and including the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to maintain a friendly professional team-oriented positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude especially under stress or challenges

Job Qualifications

  • A combination of experience education and/or training may be substituted for either requirement
  • Previous similar position in a hotel or similar business entity preferred
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays

  • Ability to always maintain a friendly professional team-oriented positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude especially under stress or challenges

Job Duties

  • Safely drive and park guest vehicles in hotel garage areas adhering to all traffic regulations
  • Assess and document vehicle condition noting any damage on claim tickets
  • Store and secure vehicle keys responsibly
  • Open hotel doors and provide a friendly welcome when not parking or retrieving vehicles
  • Assist guests with luggage and golf clubs providing temporary secure storage
  • Perform bell duties including handling luggage escorting guests to rooms and providing general guest assistance
  • Answer phones professionally and courteously
  • Schedule and arrange transportation for guests
  • Inform guests about local activities and amenities enthusiastically
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure guest needs are met promptly
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team
