Job Requirements

  • Passenger endorsement and medical clearance for shuttle driving

Job Qualifications

  • One to three months related experience or training
  • Experience driving manual transmission and various vehicle types
  • Ability to provide professional and careful service to meet guest needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to learn and use hotel telephone and computer systems
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
  • Must speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Valid drivers license in good standing
  • Passenger endorsement and medical clearance if operating shuttle
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
  • Commitment to maintain a clean appearance and professional demeanor

Job Duties

  • Open doors and assist guests and visitors entering and leaving the property
  • Monitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic on property including guest vehicles, taxis, limousines, and buses
  • Park vehicles efficiently and properly tag them with accurate guest information
  • Maintain security of vehicles and vehicle keys
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors
  • Drive passengers from the hotel to assigned destinations while obeying traffic laws
  • Load and unload guest luggage and equipment
  • Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority or refer to management
  • Notify supervisor or security of unusual events or alleged theft
  • Notify management of problems related to guest complaints or disruptive behavior
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Report potential safety issues and take immediate action in emergencies
  • Report to work as scheduled
  • Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas
  • Maintain cleanliness of transportation vehicles
  • Provide guests with directions and information about amenities and local attractions
  • Notify management of unsafe conditions and needed maintenance
