Job Description
Encore Service Group is a healthcare-focused company committed to blending healthcare and hospitality to create a positive and lasting impression on every individual they serve. Operating primarily in Michigan and Ohio, Encore Service Group provides a range of services including non-emergency medical transportation, shuttle services, valet parking, service excellence consulting and coaching, parking and garage management, and welcome desk or concierge services. Their philosophy is grounded in the belief that healthcare should be delivered with the same level of care, respect, and professionalism traditionally associated with the hospitality industry, ensuring an outstanding experience for patients, guests, and staff alike.
Currently, Encore Service Group is seeking exceptional Valet Team Members to join their team at a local hospital in the Lansing area. This position requires part-time availability of 20-25 hours per week, specifically from 7 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, offering a competitive wage starting at $15 per hour plus tips. The role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, energetic, and compassionate. Candidates should be dependable, open to feedback, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor. While a background in hospitality is preferred, it is not mandatory, and the company values the right attitude and communication skills highly.
This valet position is physically active, involving walking, running, and standing for the duration of the shift, and the work is conducted in all types of weather conditions. Team members are expected to greet patients, guests, and hospital staff warmly, providing courteous and attentive service. The valet must adhere to company uniform policies, maintain a neat and professional appearance, and always wear their identification badge. Responsibilities also include driving, parking, and retrieving vehicles safely and efficiently while ensuring timely service and actively seeking ways to exceed expectations.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old for insurance purposes, as well as hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. They must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Reliable transportation is also a necessity. This role is more than just parking cars—it plays a vital part in enhancing the overall healthcare experience by providing critical support with professionalism and empathy. Applicants are encouraged to submit either a resume or a narrative describing their background and work experience to be considered. Encore Service Group looks forward to welcoming motivated individuals who are ready to contribute positively to their dedicated team and make a meaningful impact in healthcare hospitality.
