Job Description

Encore Service Group is a distinguished company founded on the principle that healthcare and hospitality should seamlessly integrate to provide exceptional experiences for every individual we serve. Established with a healthcare-centered focus, Encore Service Group operates exclusively within Michigan and Ohio, catering specifically to healthcare facilities through a comprehensive suite of services. These services range from non-emergency medical transportation and shuttle services to valet parking, service excellence consulting and coaching, parking and garage management, as well as welcome desk and concierge services. This unique blend of hospitality and healthcare expertise places Encore Service Group in a prominent position, allowing it to make a positive and lasting impact on patients, visitors, and healthcare staff alike. The company prides itself on fostering a compassionate, professional, and efficient environment where service quality is paramount.

The role of an Exceptional Valet Team Member is a critical component of Encore Service Group’s mission. The company is currently seeking dedicated, detail-oriented, energetic, and compassionate individuals to join the valet team located at a local hospital in the Lansing area. This position is full-time, requiring availability from 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with at least 30 hours per week. Valet Team Members earn a competitive wage of $15 per hour plus tips, emphasizing both fair compensation and the opportunity to benefit from gratuities as part of their income. This role is especially tailored for individuals who enjoy interacting with people and understand the importance of first impressions in a healthcare setting. As representatives of Encore Service Group, team members play a vital role in ensuring patients, guests, and hospital staff feel welcomed, cared for, and valued throughout their visit.

Valet Team Members must be dependable team players with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills. While a background in hospitality is preferred, it is not a strict requirement, allowing those passionate about service and caregiving to apply. The position demands physical stamina since team members need to be able to walk, run, and stand throughout their shift in all weather conditions, emphasizing the physically active nature of the job. Safety, courtesy, and efficiency are paramount when driving, parking, and retrieving guests’ vehicles. Members must also adhere strictly to company uniform policies, maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance, and consistently demonstrate a polite and professional demeanor regardless of circumstances. Additional responsibilities include greeting all individuals by name when possible, opening doors, providing assistance, and actively seeking ways to exceed expectations.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old as a requirement for insurance purposes and must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Passing a background check and drug screening is mandatory to ensure the safety and trustworthiness of all team members. Reliable personal transportation is essential to fulfill this role. Encore Service Group values detail-oriented applicants who can follow company policies, work effectively within a team, and contribute positively to the patient and visitor experience at healthcare facilities. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit a resume or a written summary of their professional background, as applications without this information will not be considered. This opportunity is ideal for individuals striving for a rewarding role within the intersection of healthcare and hospitality, offering a dynamic work environment and a chance to make a meaningful difference every day.
