The Valet Attendant Lead is responsible for both operational and leadership functions within the valet department. This role requires managing the parking and retrieval of guests' vehicles while fostering a positive atmosphere that enhances the guest experience. The lead acts as an ambassador for the company, ensuring that all actions taken align with business interests and uphold the organization’s values. Key responsibilities include supervising the valet process to ensure efficiency and safety when parking incoming vehicles and safely returning them to guests. The lead is also tasked with promoting hotel loyalty programs, maintaining accurate records of vehicles and transactions, and performing routine vehicle inspections. Additionally, the role encompasses important leadership duties such as training, mentoring, and guiding valet attendants, providing feedback to management, and handling supervisory tasks when needed. Valet Attendant Leads are expected to maintain strong communication skills, demonstrate problem-solving abilities, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • must have a valid CA driver's license and clean driving record
  • 3+ months of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 1+ years in hospitality preferred
  • ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional guest service while maintaining a positive attitude
  • promote the players club loyalty program to guests
  • collect and accurately label keys belonging to guests to ensure their proper return
  • operate vehicles safely and responsibly
  • park incoming cars safely and efficiently
  • organize and file paperwork regarding guests' vehicles and daily transactions
  • drive conservatively while adhering to all applicable traffic laws, announcing stops, and answering general questions about the property and the local community
  • maintain a working knowledge of the property's facilities, as well as promotions and special events on the property, in order to advise guests and team members
  • inspect vehicles prior to occupancy, verifying that everything is clean and well stocked
  • conduct routine safety inspections of vehicles before and after every trip, reporting any problems or maintenance needs to management
  • be accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports
  • greet vehicles and guests who arrive in the valet area with a warm welcome and smile
  • open doors for guests
  • fill out valet tickets and conduct vehicle spot inspections
  • provide positive interaction with guests and team members
  • maintain confidential information on guest interaction and property operations at all times
  • effectively present information in one to one and small group situations to guests and other team members
  • manage the flow of parking functions, including logging tickets and notifying valet of pickup
  • maintain logs and run reports relative to car counts and other parking related information
  • perform duties of bell person and shuttle driver as necessary
  • other duties as assigned
  • oversee and direct operations, serving as the subject matter expert on departmental processes and procedures
  • train, guide and mentor team members to enhance processes along with facilitating training sessions
  • provide feedback to shift supervisors and management regarding team member performance
  • perform supervisory duties as necessary
