The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is a vital position focused on delivering outstanding hospitality and valet services to guests. This full-time role operates on a schedule from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, offering an hourly wage range of $15 to $18.50 plus tips. The primary responsibility of this position is to park and retrieve guest vehicles safely and promptly while providing bell services such as helping with luggage during arrivals and departures where applicable. Guest Service Associates are expected to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, greet guests warmly, and address guests by name to create personalized interactions. Responsibilities also include assisting guests with directions, coordinating transportation services like taxis, managing inquiries, and providing information about venue amenities and local attractions.

Additionally, Guest Service Associates ensure proper processing of vehicle parking tickets, including issuing and collecting claim checks and documenting vehicle details thoroughly to maintain security and service accuracy. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, a strong knowledge of customer service principles, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and sometimes fast-paced environment predominantly outdoors with exposure to weather conditions. Physical requirements include the ability to lift heavy objects, such as luggage, and perform physically demanding tasks such as stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission
  • Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and handle luggage
  • Must be able to talk and hear regularly
  • Ability to work the scheduled hours of 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using professional and friendly demeanor
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks before issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information accurately
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
