Job Description
East Coast Valet (ECV) is a well-established valet parking service company based in Lantana, Florida, proudly serving prime locations throughout Southern Florida since 1990. Known for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive and inclusive company culture, ECV emphasizes growth and opportunity for its employees. The company is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where team members are recognized as valuable contributors rather than just faces in the crowd. This approach has helped ECV thrive even in challenging economic conditions, continually expanding and offering new career prospects. The company offers both full-time and part-time valet parking attendant positions, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate various lifestyle needs including parents and those seeking night or evening part-time work. ECV also extends special recognition to veterans and active-duty military personnel, encouraging them to apply and join their team.
The role of a valet parking attendant at East Coast Valet is crucial as it serves as the first point of contact for customers arriving at venues the company services. Valet attendants are responsible for greeting patrons, assisting with vehicle parking, ensuring vehicles are parked and retrieved safely and efficiently, and maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor at all times. This position requires a candidate who can manage the physical demands of the job such as standing for extended periods, running frequently between parking stations, and handling various customer belongings such as wheelchairs, strollers, baggage, and gifts. Employees must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions, maintaining high performance and service quality regardless of heat, cold, rain, or other inclement weather.
East Coast Valet offers competitive pay starting at $16 per hour plus tips, generally allowing attendants to earn between $16 and $20 per hour. The company provides weekly payroll options including checks, direct deposit, or pay cards, alongside tips which may be earned daily. ECV benefits employees with paid sick time, a 401k plan, and for full-time staff, access to medical and dental insurance on a 50/50 cost-sharing basis after 90 days of employment. Additional vacation benefits are also available for full-time employees. The company is notable for its ongoing employee incentive programs, company outings, quarterly newsletters highlighting company updates and opportunities, and a strong commitment to internal promotion, giving employees clear pathways for career advancement. ECV also offers scholarship opportunities, which further demonstrate its investment in employee growth and development.
Joining East Coast Valet as a valet parking attendant means becoming part of a team dedicated to excellent service, where every employee is recognized and supported. The position requires individuals with customer service experience, valid driving credentials, and the ability to safely operate vehicles, including standard transmission cars. Candidates must be 18 years or older due to legal concerns related to operating motor vehicles and machinery. The company requires a clean driving record and performs criminal background checks on potential employees. New hires will undergo a four-shift training period, during which they receive higher base pay but do not earn tips. This initiation period ensures all employees meet the company’s standards and are well-equipped for the role. Employees are expected to have a neat appearance, a good attitude, and the flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed. East Coast Valet values integrity and dedication, which are qualities reflected in their equal opportunity hiring practices and management’s commitment to making fair employment decisions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those with backgrounds in customer service, hospitality, retail, transportation, or security who are seeking a dynamic, customer-facing position with room for professional growth.
