The role of Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is integral to delivering the company’s promise of outstanding customer service. This position is hourly with a base pay of $16 per hour plus tips, averaging an additional $25 to $40 per shift, making it a competitive compensation package. Employment requires open availability, including weekend shifts. The Guest Service Associate is tasked with ensuring a hospitable experience for guests by providing efficient valet parking and vehicle retrieval services. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid driver's license for the state or commutable distance
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to present information to guests, clients and employees
  • Ability to perform basic math including money calculations
  • Understanding of 24 hour and military time
  • Understanding of applicable rates
  • Ability to operate manual transmission
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver's license for the state or a commutable distance
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names during interactions
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper phone etiquette
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to appropriate places approved by the location
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from guests prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
