Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license for the state or a commutable distance
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one month related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English
- Ability to perform basic math operations with money
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone
- Ability to operate a vehicle carefully and follow all safety procedures
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Availability to work shifts typically from 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pm
- Ability to follow established procedures and guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or a commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English
- Ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group situations
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using American currency
- Understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand parking rates related to time
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using their last names
- Use daily salutations and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles carefully and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Provide guests with directions, taxi information, reservations, and facility amenities information
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue claim checks after receiving keys and collect claim checks before returning keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information such as key tags, guest folio, vehicle location, damage surveys, and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect parking revenue
