Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance
- One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to follow simple instructions and correspondences
- Ability to perform basic math operations including money calculations
- Ability to understand 24-hour time and rate systems
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Willingness to work flexible AM/PM shifts
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to communicate politely and professionally
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with American money
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
- Understanding of applicable rates based on time passed
- Ability to operate manual transmission highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use proper salutation of the day and welcome guests
- Post in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and slowly
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Provide directions, taxi assistance, reservations, and facility information
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Complete and maintain ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys, and claim checks
- Calculate and collect parking revenue when needed
