The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is designed for individuals passionate about hospitality and who excel in delivering attentive, friendly, and efficient service to guests. This position involves parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly while maintaining the highest safety standards. Guest Service Associates assist with luggage handling, including delivery and pickup during arrivals and departures, enhancing the overall guest experience. The role requires a courteous and professional demeanor, greeting guests within five feet and using guest last names to personalize interactions. Associates are expected to perform bell services, offer directions, assist with taxi arrangements, and provide information about facility amenities and local attractions. The position involves managing parking rates and retrieval procedures, issuing claim checks, and handling revenue collection when needed. Safety and accuracy in completing ticket information, including damage surveys and key tracking, are crucial aspects of the role.

This position typically offers an hourly wage starting at $18 with an additional $4 to $8 per hour in tips, depending on location and experience. The schedule can include varied shifts, encompassing morning and evening hours, providing flexibility. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to follow simple instructions and correspondences
  • Ability to perform basic math operations including money calculations
  • Ability to understand 24-hour time and rate systems
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Willingness to work flexible AM/PM shifts
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
  • Ability to communicate politely and professionally

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with American money
  • Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
  • Understanding of applicable rates based on time passed
  • Ability to operate manual transmission highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use proper salutation of the day and welcome guests
  • Post in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and slowly
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Provide directions, taxi assistance, reservations, and facility information
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
  • Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks before issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys, and claim checks
  • Calculate and collect parking revenue when needed
