The role of Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is a dynamic and customer-focused position designed for individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent hospitality services. This role involves providing attentive, friendly, and efficient assistance to guests from the moment they arrive until their departure. The primary duties include parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, assisting with luggage handling including delivery and pickup, and offering information and assistance related to the facility and local attractions. The Guest Service Associate plays a crucial part in creating a welcoming environment, often being the first point of contact for guests and setting the tone for their overall experience.
This position is hourly paid, with a base rate of $18 per hour plus tips ranging from $4 to $8 per hour, reflecting the importance of customer interaction and service quality. The work schedule can vary to include both AM and PM shifts, offering some flexibility. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license for the state you are applying to or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely and cautiously
- Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work flexible AM/PM shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Hold a valid driver's license for the state or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English language
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Use guest last names during interactions
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, and amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to appropriate places approved by the location
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from guests prior to issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey, and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
