Job Description
Judy and Bernard Briskin Hope Village Hotel is a distinguished hospitality establishment committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences in a mission-driven environment. This hotel is known for its dedication to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and values-based culture where exceptional service is at the forefront. Situated in an idyllic location, the hotel balances comfort and luxury, ensuring guests feel valued and cared for throughout their stay. As part of Columbia Hospitality, this property reflects a people-first philosophy, emphasizing genuine respect, open-mindedness, and supportive teamwork. Employees are not only welcomed into a culturally rich and engaging workplace but are also given numerous opportunities for growth, including task force work placements across global locations. The hotel offers a broad suite of benefits, such as medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, retirement plans, and various discounted services for lodging, dining, and recreation. This comprehensive benefits package demonstrates the establishment's commitment to the well-being and satisfaction of its staff, contributing to a positive and thriving work environment.
As a Valet Attendant at Judy and Bernard Briskin Hope Village Hotel, you will play a pivotal role as a Guest Experience Champion (GEC), where your passion for hospitality and superb guest service skills will be essential. This position entails warmly welcoming guests as they arrive, providing both valet and bellman services, and contributing directly to a memorable first impression. Beyond assisting with luggage and parking vehicles, a Valet Attendant is responsible for escorting guests to their rooms once check-in is completed and conducting thorough orientations of the room features and hotel amenities. This orientation ensures guests feel well-informed and comfortable throughout their visit. The role involves a balance of technical skills – such as careful vehicle handling and attention to detail in documenting vehicle information – and interpersonal skills, including effective communication and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The attendant must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, exhibit respect for guests and their property, and work collaboratively with front desk and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.
This is a full-time position that offers the unique opportunity to be part of a team that thrives on creating exceptional experiences while upholding the core values of the hotel. The position demands a proactive approach to guest services, ensuring that each interaction is meaningful and positively reinforces the hotel's brand. Duties extend beyond guest interactions to include maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the parking areas and hotel entrance, sanitizing equipment such as bell carts and wheelchairs, and providing general assistance to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The hotel’s commitment to staff development, diversity and inclusion, and community involvement offers a supportive atmosphere where employees can build rewarding careers and make significant contributions to the guest experience and beyond.
