Job Description

This job opportunity is with a well-established health system located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, that prioritizes exceptional patient care and service excellence. The health system is committed to creating a welcoming and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff alike. As a recognized leader in healthcare services, the organization ensures that every touchpoint within the facility reflects their core values of compassion, respect, and professionalism. This includes offering comprehensive valet and concierge services as part of the patient and visitor experience. The healthcare institution operates in a fast-paced environment where safety, efficiency, and quality customer service are paramount.

The Valet Attendant position offers an engaging full-time role focused on enhancing the arrival experience of patients and visitors. This role is crucial as it serves as one of the first points of contact individuals have with the health system, setting the tone for their entire visit. The attendant is responsible for greeting patients and guests warmly, safely driving and parking vehicles in an organized fashion, and promptly retrieving vehicles on demand. Beyond vehicle management, the attendant also delivers concierge services such as providing directions, answering general inquiries, and facilitating transportation for patients and visitors to various locations within the health system. This multi-faceted role requires a high level of professionalism, safety awareness, and customer service skills to ensure a positive, seamless, and courteous experience for all who enter the facility.

Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the parking and valet areas is also a key aspect of this position. The attendant is expected to manage vehicle key tagging and storage meticulously, monitor parking flow to prevent congestion, and handle the safe disposal of any trash or bio-hazard waste found in the lot. The role demands physical agility and stamina, as it requires standing for extended periods and safely operating different types of vehicles, including those with manual transmissions. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff, ensuring information is conveyed clearly and assistance is provided efficiently.

The job adheres to safety and regulatory protocols including the requirement of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and a valid driver’s license without violations. Applicants with a background in customer service and vehicle handling will find this role rewarding, as it combines interpersonal interaction with hands-on vehicular tasks in a healthcare setting. Besides contributing to the smooth operations of the healthcare facility, the valet attendant plays an important role in patient satisfaction and overall experience.

Listed as a safety-sensitive position under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Use and Patient Protection Act, this role requires adherence to strict safety standards, and candidates must understand that positive drug tests, even for licensed medical marijuana users, may affect employment eligibility. The organization is an Equal Opportunity Employer, encouraging veterans and individuals with disabilities to apply.

This position offers a unique blend of responsibilities within the healthcare environment, combining customer service, operational logistics, and safety compliance. Those who thrive in dynamic, people-oriented environments with a focus on safety and service will excel in this role.
