Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year driving experience with a valid driver’s license
  • must possess and maintain a driving record that meets Olympia Hotel Management’s Driver Evaluation Criteria
  • ability to drive automatic and manual vehicles
  • ability to work weekends
  • ability to perform physically demanding tasks including walking, standing, bending, and lifting
  • willingness to comply with all safety protocols and procedures
  • must be able to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service
  • must comply with all company DMV guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Previous valet experience is preferred
  • minimum of 1 year of driving with a valid driver’s license
  • must maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with DMV guidelines
  • experience driving automatic and manual vehicles
  • experience in guest service and/or working with the public is helpful
  • high school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • ability to provide high-level customer service
  • effective communication skills with guests and team members
  • ability to learn quickly and pay attention to detail
  • maintain composure under pressure

Job Duties

  • Greet arriving guests warmly and assist them with parking their vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
  • Drive and maneuver guests' vehicles carefully to designated parking spots ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are followed
  • Retrieve guests' vehicles promptly upon request, assist with loading luggage or belongings, and ensure vehicles are returned in the same condition as received
  • Welcome arriving guests and assist them with unloading luggage or belongings from their vehicles
  • Escort guests to their rooms carrying luggage as needed and provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions
  • Assist guests with luggage storage, retrieval, and delivery to their rooms, ensuring all items are handled carefully and delivered promptly
  • Provide courteous and attentive service to guests, responding promptly and professionally to their requests, inquiries, and concerns
  • Offer assistance with transportation arrangements, restaurant reservations, and other guest needs, and provide directions and recommendations for local attractions and activities
  • Anticipate guests' needs and preferences and proactively offer assistance and solutions to enhance their stay experience
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures including traffic laws, vehicle handling guidelines, and security measures to ensure the safety and security of guests, vehicles, and property
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the valet parking area, bell stand, and lobby entrance, including removing debris, organizing luggage carts, and replenishing supplies as needed
  • Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security concerns to the appropriate supervisor or manager for resolution
