Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years of valet or related experience
- Three years of management or supervisory experience
- Must have a valid, unexpired Wisconsin Driver’s License
- Must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Complete in house Responsible Beverage program within 3 months of hire
- Office skills including ability to use standard office equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job including lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to operate a personal computer
- Ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information
- Ability to communicate effectively before groups
- Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to use strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years of valet or related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in management preferred
- Three years of management or supervisory experience
- One to two years of DOT regulatory experience preferred
- Valid and unexpired Wisconsin Driver’s License
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and general office equipment
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and counting
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts and procedure manuals
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts
- Ability to maintain discretion with confidential information
Job Duties
- Manage all aspects of day to day operation and administration of valet and transportation department
- Establish operational standards for team members and improve operations to meet business needs
- Interview, hire, train, schedule, motivate, appraise, discipline, and terminate team members as needed
- Address complaints and resolve problems promptly
- Establish department goals to improve guest service and operational efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, state, local laws and DOT rules and regulations
- Build and manage departmental budget within accepted parameters
- Read financial statements for strategic decision-making
- Oversee DOT dispatch and documentation management
- Implement programs to improve guest service, team building, efficiency, and morale
- Utilize Computerized Valet Parking System (CVPS) and MICROS registers system
- Report motor vehicle violations to management within 24 hours
- Establish and maintain departmental internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
