The Valet Attendant role is a vital position within our hotel staff, responsible for creating a positive first and last impression for all guests. This full-time position demands an enthusiastic individual who can handle the fast-paced nature of valet services with a high level of professionalism, courtesy, and safety. The primary responsibility of the Valet Attendant is to safely park, secure, and retrieve guest vehicles with strict adherence to driving and safety regulations.

More than just parking cars, this role involves multiple customer service duties such as greeting guests warmly upon arrival and departure, assisting with luggage, and providing helpful local information and directions. The valet team ensures that guests' vehicles are handled with care, inspecting for any pre-existing damage and correctly logging vehicle information to guarantee the safe return of vehicles. Maintaining the valet area in a clean and organized manner is also essential to guarantee smooth traffic flow and efficiency.

This position requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and willingness to assist guests with their unique needs and any special requests while maintaining a composed demeanor, even in high-pressure or busy situations. Candidates must be flexible to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as the hospitality business operates around the clock. The successful candidate will be adept at managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously, showcasing excellent hand-eye coordination, quick reflexes for vehicle operation, and physical stamina. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous customer service or valet/parking experience desirable but not required
  • valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations
  • strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods up to 8 hours
  • frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of luggage up to 50 pounds
  • ability to bend, stoop, and reach repeatedly throughout the shift
  • must have excellent hand-eye coordination and quick reflexes for vehicle operation
  • work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles of all sizes

Job Duties

  • Greet guests upon arrival and departure with a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor
  • safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in designated areas while following all driving and safety regulations
  • assist guests with loading and unloading luggage or personal belongings
  • maintain traffic flow at the entrance, keeping the drive clear for arriving and departing guests
  • provide directions, hotel information, and recommendations for local attractions when requested
  • accurately record vehicle information, issue claim tickets, and ensure the safe return of vehicles to their owners
  • inspect vehicles for pre-existing damage and report any incidents immediately
