Job Description

The hiring organization is a healthcare facility located in Lakeland, FL, specializing in patient care and support services designed to provide a seamless and compassionate experience for visitors and patients alike. Operating within the healthcare sector, the facility emphasizes a professional, friendly environment that prioritizes patient comfort, safety, and accessibility. This establishment is committed to maintaining a high standard of service from the moment patients and visitors arrive until they leave, recognizing the importance of first impressions and customer service in a healthcare setting.

The role offered is that of a Valet, a position that plays a crucial part in the overall patient experience by ensuring safe, timely, and courteous handling of parking services. As a Valet, the successful candidate will work under the supervision of the MHS Manager or Lead Valet, focusing on greeting patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism. The Valet is responsible for driving, parking, and retrieving vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and hospital safety regulations. Additionally, the position involves assisting guests with directions, carrying bags, and offering support when entering or exiting vehicles to make their visit as comfortable as possible.

This full-time or part-time position offers an hourly wage of $13.00, with negligible travel requirements and a day shift schedule. The Valet must be reliable and demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining patient privacy, following HIPAA guidelines, and ensuring the valet area is clean, organized, and safe at all times. The role requires strong communication skills, a professional appearance, and a genuine passion for helping people.

Beyond parking duties, the Valet will also be tasked with noting any existing vehicle damage, properly handling valet tickets, explaining parking rates and procedures, and immediately reporting any accidents to supervisors. The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, and push or pull wheelchairs over long distances. Flexibility in work hours is important, with the potential for extended shifts on weekends, holidays, or during busy periods.

In summary, this Valet position offers an opportunity to join a respected healthcare facility dedicated to enhancing patient and visitor experiences through outstanding service. The role requires a dependable, friendly individual who is comfortable driving various types of vehicles, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and providing exceptional assistance to those in need. It is an ideal job for someone seeking meaningful work in a healthcare environment that values professionalism, safety, and compassionate service.
