Job Description
The hiring establishment is a reputable parking services company specializing in the management and operation of parking lots, garages, and facilities. This company is committed to delivering exceptional customer service by ensuring the safe and efficient handling of customer vehicles. With a strong emphasis on professionalism and courtesy, it operates in a dynamic environment where maintaining safety, vehicle integrity, and customer satisfaction are paramount. The company values reliability, integrity, and the ability of its staff to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
The role offered is that of a Parking Attendant, responsible for the overall management and accountability for parking customer vehicles safely and efficiently within the parking facility. This includes duties such as driving, parking, and retrieving vehicles upon customer arrival and departure, maintaining accurate records and handling payments securely. The position requires the ability to provide courteous and professional interactions with customers, co-workers, managers, and vendors, embodying the principle of treating others as one would want to be treated.
Parking Attendants must use their own transportation to commute to work, bearing the associated costs such as fuel, maintenance, repairs, and insurance. The role also involves administrative tasks including data entry and completion of necessary paperwork for each shift. Attention to detail is critical, especially when performing visual inspections of customer vehicles to note any existing damage or issues, which must be accurately recorded and reported.
Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the booth or station is another essential aspect of the job. The Parking Attendant is tasked with clearing trash and debris throughout the day, reporting any hazards such as potholes or broken signage to supervisors, and conducting regular patrols to prevent theft or damage to vehicles.
This position requires regular and consistent attendance, punctuality in clocking in and out, and the ability to work overtime if needed. Adherence to dress code policies, including wearing a designated uniform and displaying identification badges, is mandatory to uphold a professional image.
Employees must be physically capable of performing tasks that include standing for extended periods, walking or running, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds, and having good vision for detailed inspections. Environmental conditions may vary, with exposure to outdoor weather and moderate noise levels being common.
The company offers competitive compensation with a broad salary range that reflects differences in experience, training, skill level, and geographic location. Benefits for full-time employees include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, employee assistance programs, paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation benefits. Part-time employees receive paid sick time once eligibility is met.
The employer is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, ensuring equal opportunity regardless of race, national origin, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, veteran status, disability, age, or any other legally protected status. This inclusive approach is a core part of the company culture, promoting respect and fairness across all levels of employment.
