The valet is responsible for greeting patients and visitors with a warm and professional attitude, providing safe and efficient parking services, and assisting guests at the hospital entrance. The role requires handling vehicles with care, ensuring that all safety and traffic regulations are strictly followed. In addition to physically parking and retrieving vehicles, you will interact directly with patients and visitors, helping them with directions, luggage, and assisting in entering or exiting vehicles.

Your responsibilities will include noting any pre-existing damage on vehicles to ensure accountability and maintaining accurate records of valet ticket numbers and parking locations to ensure a seamless process. You will communicate parking rates and procedures clearly to those using the valet services to ensure transparency. This position demands excellent communication skills and a professional appearance as you represent the healthcare facility in front of its patients and visitors.

In maintaining the valet area, you will be expected to keep the environment clean, organized, and safe at all times, contributing to the overall aesthetic and safety standards of the hospital. You must adhere to patient privacy laws, including HIPAA guidelines, underscoring the importance of confidentiality in a healthcare setting. The role also involves reporting any incidents or accidents promptly to your supervisor or Lane Captain, highlighting the importance of vigilance and responsibility.

This role is suitable for individuals who are friendly, reliable, and passionate about helping people in a health-focused setting. It requires physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat. You must be prepared to stand, walk, and use your hands regularly during your shift and be capable of lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally as well as pushing or pulling wheelchairs weighing between 100 to 350 pounds over long distances.
