Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 3 years of experience in a food service or culinary role
  • proficiency with nutrition management software
  • understanding of federal and state nutrition program guidelines
  • ability to develop and standardize recipes
  • excellent organizational skills
  • strong interpersonal and communication abilities

Job Qualifications

  • culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • knowledge of USDA school meal program regulations
  • experience in food service management or recipe development
  • familiarity with nutrition management software
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to train and support staff
  • knowledge of current food trends and nutrition guidelines

Job Duties

  • create and facilitate recipes for school meal programs
  • develop and test new standardized recipes that meet USDA and other regulatory requirements
  • provide production training and technical support to cafeteria staff and nutrition supervisors
  • manage and assist with nutrition management software
  • identify and incorporate new food products and trends into school nutrition programs
  • ensure food safety and quality standards are met consistently
  • collaborate with school personnel to enhance food service programs
