As a Utility Team Member at Torchy's, you will hold a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation and cleanliness of the restaurant. This position encompasses responsibilities as both a Busser and Dishwasher, making it essential to maintaining the overall guest experience and kitchen efficiency. The role requires a dependable team player who embraces a fast-paced environment and is committed to upholding the restaurant's high standards of safety and cleanliness. Embracing Torchy's lively culture, you will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and comfortable.
The Utility Team Member is responsible for various cleaning and organizational duties including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing dining areas, and managing the dishwasher station meticulously. You will ensure that all food preparation tools and dining essentials are cleaned and sanitized following health guidelines, supporting the kitchen's smooth daily operation. Safety is paramount, and maintaining a hazard-free floor and dining space is critical to your role. You'll also aid in stocking service areas and monitoring cleanliness in restrooms and front-of-house spaces throughout the day.
Physical stamina and the ability to handle repetitive tasks with attention to detail are crucial as the job requires standing for several hours and lifting up to 40 pounds. Your proactive efforts in pre-bussing tables, cleaning spills promptly, and managing waste disposal contribute directly to a pleasing dining environment that keeps customers coming back. Additionally, the role comes with opportunities to assist with prep or line duties, fostering skill development within the culinary operations.
Torchy's values its team members by offering competitive hourly wages ranging from $11.00 to $14.00 based on experience, including a tip share on top of the base pay. Flexible scheduling allows you to balance work with personal commitments effectively. Full-time team members enjoy comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage after one year, alongside 401(k) retirement plans available after six months. Paid Time Off is also provided following a year of employment, ensuring you have the time to rest and recharge. Connecting beyond the workplace, Torchy's Family Foundation offers support for team members during times of need or crisis, reflecting the company's commitment to its community.
Joining Torchy's means becoming part of a dynamic team that values hard work, dedication, and a passion for hospitality. If you have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to contribute to a fun and efficient team, this Utility Team Member role is your gateway to a rewarding career in the food service industry at a respected, expanding brand.
