The role of Utility/Dishwasher Worker at Monarch Communities is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive salary range of $17 - $18 per hour. Reporting directly to the Culinary Services Director, this position is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of the kitchen area. The Utility/Dishwasher Worker is responsible for performing general kitchen cleaning duties, washing equipment, and ensuring dishes and utensils are clean and properly stored. With safety and sanitation at the forefront, the role requires adherence to all applicable policies, regulations, and OSHA standards. Additionally, this individual delivers excellent customer service to both staff and residents, fostering a positive environment within the dining and food preparation areas. This position also involves assisting with dining room service, managing waste removal, and participating in ongoing in-service trainings, ensuring a compliant and efficiently run culinary operation. - Prior service and/or kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Job Duties
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment at all times in accordance with sanitation standard operating procedures
- Operate dishwashing machinery properly, and in a safe manner
- Clean, prep and wash pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, glasses, cups and silverware are properly stored
- Ensure all chemical dispensers are working and cleaning supplies are adequate
- Use all safety equipment to meet OSHA standards
- Empty and clean garbage from kitchen to dumpster
- Assist in dining room removing soiled dishes during meal service and returning them to the dishwashing station
- Participate in and attend all in-service training as scheduled
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
