The Oklahoma County Senior Nutrition Program, under Sodexo's management, is currently seeking a part-time Utility Worker to support the facility's kitchen and operational functions. This role is vital to maintaining a clean, sanitized, and organized environment essential for food production and service. As a Utility Worker, you will be responsible for cleaning dishes, equipment, floors, walls, and storage areas, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards to promote health and safety. In addition to cleaning duties, this position requires assisting with supply transportation, restocking, and setting up or breaking down workstations as needed.

The nature of this part-time position involves varying shifts that may require open availability to accommodate the program's needs. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • No related work experience required
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic concepts of food safety
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work varying shifts with open availability preferred
  • Attend work and show up for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine
  • Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks
  • Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors
  • Removes trash and garbage to designated areas
  • Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards
  • Re-stock supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials
  • Assist with basic set-up and break-down tasks as directed
