The employment type is full-time, with a competitive pay rate of $25 per hour. The Utility Worker role at Sodexo is essential in supporting kitchen and facility operations by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that food production and service areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained to meet both safety regulations and client expectations. Key responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, surfaces, floors, and storage areas. The Utility Worker is also responsible for managing waste disposal properly, restocking cleaning supplies, and assisting with setup and breakdown tasks as necessary.

Physical stamina and mobility are important for this job, as it involves significant walking, standing for long periods, bending, stooping, lifting up to 35 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • No related work experience required
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic concepts of food safety
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and lift up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work varying shifts with open availability
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine
  • Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks
  • Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors
  • Removes trash and garbage to designated areas
  • Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards
  • Re-stock supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials
  • Assists with basic setup and breakdown tasks
  • Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
