Sodexo values its people by fostering an inclusive environment where employees can be themselves and contribute meaningfully to the team. This culture of respect, fairness, and belonging promotes innovation and collaboration, providing a supportive workplace for career growth and development.
The Utility Worker position at Sodexo, based at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, is a full-time role offering an hourly wage between $16 and $16.5. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the sanitary and efficient operation of kitchen and food service environments. The position requires adopting flexible work shifts—with open availability highly preferred—to meet the dynamic needs of the facility. Utility Workers assist with cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage areas, contributing directly to the safety and quality of food production and service.
This role offers a hands-on opportunity to support essential operations while working as part of a committed team that values safety and compliance with food safety standards. Utility Workers at Sodexo support not just the physical cleanliness of the kitchen but also help sustain a seamless workflow by transporting supplies and assisting with setup and breakdown tasks. Candidates joining Sodexo in this capacity become part of a company that encourages ongoing training and offers a pathway for advancement, ensuring that this position can be a rewarding career choice rather than just a job.
In addition to competitive pay, Sodexo provides a broad range of employee benefits designed to promote work-life balance, health, and financial security. Benefits packages include paid time off, holidays, medical coverage, dental and vision plans, tuition reimbursement, 401k retirement plans, employee discount programs, and potential site-specific perks like free meals, uniforms, and transportation assistance. Sodexo's inclusive employment practices ensure equal opportunity for all, creating a workplace environment that values diversity and mutual respect.
