The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, in partnership with Sodexo, is seeking a Utility Worker to join their team. This position is full-time with varying shifts and days, emphasizing open availability to best meet the needs of the client and operations. The pay range for this role is between $14.00 and $18.00 per hour, reflecting competitive compensation within the facilities service sector. The Utility Worker plays an integral role in maintaining cleanliness and operational efficiency within the kitchen and food service areas of the medical center.

As a Utility Worker at Sodexo, you will be a vital link in ensuring a clean, safe, and efficiently run kitchen environment. Your responsibilities will include cleaning kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils, washing dishes and pots either by hand or machine, and polishing silverware. Maintaining the cleanliness of floors through sweeping and mopping, removing garbage to designated disposal areas, and washing various work surfaces such as walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks are crucial to this role. You will also be responsible for transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, supporting the team by providing the necessary resources promptly. Job Duties

  • Maintain and clean kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils
  • wash dishes and pots by hand or in a machine and polish silverware
