The Utility Technician position at Carillon Senior Living is an hourly role offering a competitive wage between $13 and $14 per hour. This role involves varied scheduling that includes weekends and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the senior living environment and its commitment to providing uninterrupted, superior service to its residents. The Utility Technician plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen and dining operations through a variety of essential activities. Responsibilities include pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties, and managing the storage of both food and non-food supplies. Job Requirements

  • At least a ninth grade education
  • Minimum of three months previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or club setting preferred
  • Ability to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Capacity to perform physical cleaning tasks
  • Willingness to attend assigned training
  • Ability to follow supervisory direction
  • High attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • At least a ninth grade education
  • Minimum of three months experience in a hotel, restaurant, or club setting preferred
  • Restaurant, senior living, or equivalent food service experience preferred
  • Ability to attend in-service training and education sessions
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation

Job Duties

  • Sets up the dish and pot washing area
  • Prepares for dishwashing and washes pots, dishes and utensils
  • Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes and utensils
  • Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures
  • Empties trash containers as required
  • Completes all assigned cleaning tasks
  • Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas
