Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand walk bend and lift throughout your shift
  • must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a hot and humid environment
  • food handler certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role is a plus but willing to train the right person
  • ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety

Job Duties

  • Wash and sanitize dishes cookware utensils and kitchen equipment using proper procedures
  • keep the dishwashing area clean organized and free from hazards
  • handle garbage disposal and recycling according to safety standards
  • support kitchen staff with basic food prep and meal setup as needed
  • help ensure the kitchen is well-stocked with clean dishware and supplies during meal service
  • follow food safety and infection control procedures to maintain a clean kitchen
  • report any maintenance or safety issues to the dietary manager
  • work closely with cooks dietary aides and care teams to support smooth meal operations
  • be flexible reliable and always ready to help where needed
