Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Class A CDL license required
- Six months commercial driving experience
- Able to obtain doubles endorsements within 6 months of employment
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Meet PFG Motor Vehicle Report requirements for past 3 years
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Meet PFG FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements
- Pass road test
- Able to secure new DOT medical card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate or other equipment to move freight up to approximately 90 pounds
- Must be able to work assigned schedule including early morning dispatch and rotating Saturdays
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Job Qualifications

- Experience with onboard computers and electronic log systems
- Experience with handheld point of delivery scanning systems
- Customer service-related work experience
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and report all safety issues or repairs
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines
- Report any and all safety hazards immediately
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices
- Complete all required freight paperwork accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- Unload equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers
- Comply with daily record-keeping and hours of service requirements
- Uphold safety standards and follow freight handling guidelines
- Train newer drivers as necessary
