Job Requirements
- must take and pass all required training courses and assessments
- peel and cut vegetables, fruit, and meat as required
- perform routine and repetitive tasks under leadership direction
- understand and follow kitchen recipe and prep systems
- clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware
- maintain standards for food production, handling, cooking, housekeeping, sanitation, and safety
- assist in training team members
- clean food preparation and production areas
- must have or be willing to obtain Food Handlers Certification
- load, run, and unload dish machine
- keep dish machine clean and report problems
- monitor dish machine water temperature and chemicals
- wash and store tableware and kitchenware
- keep dish room clean and organized
- bag and haul dish room trash
- show schedule flexibility and fill in as needed
- maintain high personal cleanliness
- be a team player and help fellow members
- follow OSHA and HACCP standards
- have 1-2 years experience in a similar role
- be at least 18 years of age
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years experience in a similar position
- knowledge of food safety standards including OSHA and HACCP compliance
- ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- capable of following detailed recipes and procedures
Job Duties
- assist in preparing food items following Hawkers recipes
- maintain cleanliness of dishware, glassware, and silverware
- clean entire restaurant including restrooms and perimeter areas
- peel and cut vegetables, fruit, and meat for food preparation
- operate and maintain dish machine including loading, running, unloading, and cleaning
- adhere to food production, handling, safety, and sanitation standards
- assist in training new and existing team members in proper procedures and guidelines
