Job Requirements

must take and pass all required training courses and assessments
peel and cut vegetables, fruits, and meats required for food preparation
perform routine and repetitive kitchen tasks
understand and follow kitchen recipe and prep systems
clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware
maintain standards for food production, handling, cooking, housekeeping, sanitation, and safety
assist in training team members in proper procedures
clean food preparation and production areas
obtain or maintain Food Handlers Certification
load, run, and unload dish machine
keep dish machine clean and report functionality issues
monitor dish machine temperatures and chemicals
wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
keep dish room clean and organized
haul dish room trash to dumpster
show schedule flexibility and fill in as needed
maintain high level of personal cleanliness
be a cooperative team player
understand and follow OSHA and HACCP standards
have 1-2 years experience in a similar role
be at least 18 years old
must frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, reach above shoulder
comfortable with exposure to extreme temperatures
able to lift up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

must have or be willing to obtain Food Handlers Certification
1-2 years experience in a similar position
strong understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
ability to follow recipes and prep systems accurately
good physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting
must be at least 18 years old
ability to work as part of a team
good communication skills
previous experience operating dish machines preferred

Job Duties

assist in preparing food items according to Hawkers recipes
maintain cleanliness of dishware, glassware, and silverware
ensure proper disposal of food waste
clean and sanitize work area, utensils, and kitchen equipment
operate dish machines including loading, running, unloading, and cleaning
monitor dish machine water temperature and chemical levels
maintain overall cleanliness of restaurant including restrooms and perimeter areas
assist in training new and existing team members
follow OSHA and HACCP compliance standards
fulfill other duties as assigned
