This position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana, and entails hourly compensation of $19.12 with an additional $0.50 shift differential, reflecting the company’s recognition of the value of flexible scheduling and hard work during varying shift times. The role centers on the operation and maintenance of production machinery in a food manufacturing environment, emphasizing adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include mastering skills through continuous audits and training, ensuring compliance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and supporting quality work processes that meet production and maintenance schedules. Candidates will be responsible for the startup, operation, sanitation, and monitoring of equipment for processing fillings and dough, as well as performing shutdown procedures. Additional duties may be assigned by team leaders or line leads, requiring collaboration and sometimes overtime to meet production targets.

This role requires individuals who prioritize safety and quality, demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, and possess the flexibility to work various shifts with physical demands including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. The position demands a proactive approach to maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety, product quality, and operational efficiency. Job Requirements

  • Working in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience in food processing or packaging environment preferred
  • experience in automated machinery environment preferred
  • experience in USDA, FDA, OSHA, or GMP compliant environment preferred
  • ability to sit, stand, walk and climb stairs during time on duty
  • ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • ability to perform repetitive motions such as reaching, loading, inspecting, and touching product
  • ability to stand up to seven (7) hours per day
  • onsite work required

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment

Job Duties

  • Support company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries
  • support quality work processes
  • follow and comply with Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • maintain mastery of certified skills through ongoing skills audits and rotation
  • startup, operate, maintain, sanitize and monitor equipment and machinery for production processing
  • receive additional training to perform responsibilities
  • perform duties to maintain schedules, quality, and workplace safety
  • perform other tasks as required by Team Leader or Line Lead
  • work overtime to achieve production and maintenance schedules
  • report to the line team lead
