The Maintenance Technician - Utilities role at Nestle USA is integral to ensuring the seamless and safe operation of the plant's utilities systems. This position principally involves overseeing and maintaining critical systems such as ammonia and CO2 refrigeration, steam, hot water, glycol, HVAC, fire protection, and compressed air. The technician will also provide support in packaging and production maintenance during critical situations and must be available on call 24/7 to cover absences or vacations, highlighting the demanding yet rewarding nature of the job. Nestle offers competitive compensation for certified technicians (RETA CIRO) ranging from $38 to $40 per hour plus shift differentials, while uncertified technicians earn between $29 and $35 per hour plus shift differentials. The standard work schedule is Sunday through Thursday, during the third shift from 11 PM to 7:30 AM, with a shift differential pay starting at 10:30 PM.

This role demands a detailed understanding and hands-on experience with several vital mechanical and safety systems, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex refrigeration systems, boilers, HVAC units, compressed air networks, and fire protection equipment. The Maintenance Technician will engage with contractors as needed and meticulously document all system operations in accordance with governmental and internal standards. This position promotes continuous training and skill enhancement while maintaining strict safety protocols. With no direct supervisory duties, the technician focuses primarily on hands-on tasks, teamwork, and adhering to company policies. Job Requirements

Must pass physical capacity evaluation
ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and move up to 25 pounds frequently
ability to stand, walk, handle and operate tools regularly
RETA CIRO certification within two years required
physical ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and balance
ability to work in loud environments with exposure to chemicals, temperature extremes and moving mechanical parts

Job Qualifications
