Job Requirements

  • Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products
  • Non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment
  • At least three years with usher experience
  • Literacy and fluency in English
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Above average communication skills
  • Above average reasoning skills
  • Ability to move chairs and tables easily
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must qualify for, obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission

Job Duties

  • Checks the room for proper seating order and checks neatness of seating area before show starts
  • Arrange floor seating according to applicable venue map
  • Make sure seating signage is visible
  • Rearrange seating as needed post show and help clean up the room after performance
  • Handle difficult problems which arise during seating, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Monitor the room for distractions or problems during the show
  • Handle any issue that may arise properly
  • Ensure only guests with proper credentials obtain access to restricted areas
  • Maintain communication with other departments within the venue to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Scan tickets as guest enters venue, and scan exiting guests for re-entry
  • Greet guests and offer direction in locating their seats
  • Escort full comps and guests who enter at show time to their seats
