Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 3 years external logistics and/or international logistics experience or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in external logistics and/or international logistics
Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
Fluent in Italian and English
Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Excel
Experience in transportation compliance and export control regulations

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with minimum of 3 years external logistics and/or international logistics experience or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in external logistics and/or international logistics
Experience with suppliers and/or customers
Computer skills with good knowledge of Excel
Fluent Italian and English
Understanding of US Customs
Understanding of military licenses and USML classifications
Knowledge of freight forwarders and couriers
Proficiency in transportation ocean mode
Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and diplomatic attitude
Ability to work in a team

Job Duties

Supervises the logistics process guiding the suppliers and the freight forwarders
Takes on the role of interface between Avio Aero suppliers and plants and works out logistic disconnections
Identifies the critical aspects of the logistics process and proposes solutions
Monitors the freight forwarders performance thru suitable KPIs
Contributes to control and optimize logistics costs by defining and proposing cost reduction projects
Identifies actions to reduce transportation process variations by applying Lean/Six Sigma tools and best practices
Engaged in transportation compliance aspects including transportation air mode
Monitors the military export licenses renewal due to expiration either by validity period or by value exhaustion
