Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 3 years external logistics and/or international logistics experience or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in external logistics and/or international logistics
  • Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Experience in transportation compliance and export control regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with minimum of 3 years external logistics and/or international logistics experience or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in external logistics and/or international logistics
  • Experience with suppliers and/or customers
  • Computer skills with good knowledge of Excel
  • Fluent Italian and English
  • Understanding of US Customs
  • Understanding of military licenses and USML classifications
  • Knowledge of freight forwarders and couriers
  • Proficiency in transportation ocean mode
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and diplomatic attitude
  • Ability to work in a team

Job Duties

  • Supervises the logistics process guiding the suppliers and the freight forwarders
  • Takes on the role of interface between Avio Aero suppliers and plants and works out logistic disconnections
  • Identifies the critical aspects of the logistics process and proposes solutions
  • Monitors the freight forwarders performance thru suitable KPIs
  • Contributes to control and optimize logistics costs by defining and proposing cost reduction projects
  • Identifies actions to reduce transportation process variations by applying Lean/Six Sigma tools and best practices
  • Engaged in transportation compliance aspects including transportation air mode
  • Monitors the military export licenses renewal due to expiration either by validity period or by value exhaustion
