Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 3 years external logistics and/or international logistics experience or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in external logistics and/or international logistics
- Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Excel
- Experience in transportation compliance and export control regulations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with minimum of 3 years external logistics and/or international logistics experience or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in external logistics and/or international logistics
- Experience with suppliers and/or customers
- Computer skills with good knowledge of Excel
- Fluent Italian and English
- Understanding of US Customs
- Understanding of military licenses and USML classifications
- Knowledge of freight forwarders and couriers
- Proficiency in transportation ocean mode
- Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and diplomatic attitude
- Ability to work in a team
Job Duties
- Supervises the logistics process guiding the suppliers and the freight forwarders
- Takes on the role of interface between Avio Aero suppliers and plants and works out logistic disconnections
- Identifies the critical aspects of the logistics process and proposes solutions
- Monitors the freight forwarders performance thru suitable KPIs
- Contributes to control and optimize logistics costs by defining and proposing cost reduction projects
- Identifies actions to reduce transportation process variations by applying Lean/Six Sigma tools and best practices
- Engaged in transportation compliance aspects including transportation air mode
- Monitors the military export licenses renewal due to expiration either by validity period or by value exhaustion
