The Prepared Foods and Café Department Lead role at Sam's Club is a dynamic and critical position responsible for driving sales and managing a team within the prepared foods area. This includes overseeing departments such as café, rotisserie, and other fresh food preparation sections. Job Requirements

  • six months experience in a fresh production department or six months experience supervising a team
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • successful completion of all job required trainings and assessments within prescribed time period

Job Duties

  • supervises team within all prepared foods departments by facilitating rotations and managing member needs to deliver on business plan
  • maintains in-depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations ensuring quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance
  • manages seasonal product demands prioritizing tasks across areas
  • collaborates with associates and third parties to ensure resources and training
  • leverages digital tools to drive sales and improve associate engagement
  • drives business results through operational excellence, staffing, audit and compliance standards
  • teaches and trains team, identifies training needs, and fosters career growth
  • develops and implements processes to meet business needs and supports company policies and ethical standards
