This position is a laboratory supervisory role located at Walmart’s facility in Olathe, KS. Job Requirements
- 2 year’s supervising experience within a related environment such as dairy plant food processing or manufacturing
- 2 years’ clerical experience using computer applications such as email Microsoft Office spreadsheets PowerPoint Visio
- ability to maintain documentation accuracy and follow testing control plans
- ability to train and mentor laboratory personnel
- strong communication and leadership skills
- knowledge of food safety regulatory compliance and quality management systems
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biology microbiology food science chemistry or related field
- knowledge of chemical and microbiological methods using instrumentation such as HACCP program HPLC GC ICP ELISA micro plate readers
- familiarity with GMPs HACCP SSOPs CIP SQF FSMA Appendix N Antibiotic Testing DMC DMSC Sediment Testing Freezing Point Cryoscope
- laboratory experience in a dairy plant food processing or manufacturing laboratory
- experience supervising or leading a technical team

- manage business plans by communicating goals, staffing, scheduling, assigning duties, coordinating workload, and providing training assistance in quality and food safety
- manage laboratory inventory to ensure proper stocking, monitoring usage, and preparing purchase requisitions
