The role of Licensed U.S. Customs Broker is critical within our operations, serving as the key liaison between our clients and various governmental agencies including the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Partner Government Agencies (PGAs) such as the FDA, USDA, and EPA. As a Customs Broker, you will be responsible for managing the entire customs clearance process, from preparing and filing entries through the Automated Broker Interface (ABI), to accurately classifying products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS). Your expertise in interpreting import/export regulations and rulings will ensure compliance with federal laws, prevent shipment delays, and resolve any customs-related issues such as holds or inspections.

In this position, maintaining audit-ready documentation in accordance with 19 CFR regulations is vital, ensuring our records meet the stringent standards required by federal authorities. You will collaborate closely with an internal team as well as external partners including customs officials, freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate timely shipment release and delivery. Your role also includes training and supporting team members on customs procedures and compliance, enhancing overall operational efficiency. Job Requirements

  • current, active u.s. customs broker license
  • minimum of 3 years experience in customs brokerage or trade compliance
  • proven understanding of u.s. import/export laws and regulations
  • proficiency with ace and abi systems
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • proficient with ms office and customs brokerage software

Job Qualifications

  • current, active u.s. customs broker license (mandatory)
  • minimum of 3+ years experience in customs brokerage or trade compliance
  • proven expertise in u.s. import/export procedures and regulatory environments
  • strong working knowledge of ace, abi systems, and classification tools
  • excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
  • ability to communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and government agencies
  • proficiency in ms office suite and customs brokerage software (e.g., descartes, sap gts, wisetech)
  • experience handling high-volume entries across multiple industries (preferred)
  • background in customs audits or post-entry corrections (e.g., psc, protests)(preferred)
  • knowledge of global supply chain logistics or freight forwarding operations (preferred)
  • bilingual capabilities are a plus (preferred)

Job Duties
