Job Description
Marriott Phoenix Resort Tempe at the Buttes is a premier resort located in Tempe, Arizona, known for its stunning valley views and extensive event facilities. This upscale resort features over 40,000 square feet of versatile indoor and outdoor event spaces that cater to a wide range of gatherings from corporate events to weddings. With 353 newly renovated guest rooms, the resort offers guests a comfortable and modern stay combined with exceptional service standards. Among its diverse dining options is the award-winning Top of The Rock restaurant, which has received multiple diner’s choice awards for its quality and exceptional dining experience. This makes the resort a favored destination for both leisure and business travelers seeking luxury and comfort along with impressive dining experiences.
The Top of the Rock Host position at Marriott Phoenix Resort Tempe at the Buttes is a vital role designed for experienced and energetic individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional guest services. As a host, you will be the first point of contact for guests dining at the Top of The Rock restaurant. Your primary responsibilities include greeting and seating guests, managing the seating chart efficiently to ensure smooth operations among the restaurant stations, and maintaining a welcoming and organized service podium. This role demands excellent communication and hospitality skills, especially the ability to communicate professionally in English, handle cash transactions accurately, and manage room charge procedures effectively.
In addition to seating guests and managing reservations, the host is responsible for ensuring that all tables are properly set before guests arrive and that menus are clean and readily available. You will also answer phones professionally, follow reservation protocols, and keep an accurate inventory of necessary dining supplies. While this is a part-time position requiring less than 30 hours per week, scheduled hours and days may vary based on the resort’s needs, giving some flexibility in work schedules. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious resort and contribute directly to providing a memorable dining experience at one of the top restaurants in the region, all within the supportive and luxurious environment of Marriott Phoenix Resort Tempe at the Buttes.
