Job Requirements

  • Three years of back-of-house culinary experience in a similar management role in a high-volume upscale casual restaurant
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Food safety knowledge with certification preferred
  • Must be able to follow written recipes and instructions
  • Able to read and plate dishes in the order received to expedite service efficiently
  • Good knife-handling skills
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work standing for extended periods
  • Fluent in English
  • French language skills helpful

Job Duties

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff in daily operations
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure consistency in quality and presentation
  • Follow and refine traditional French recipes and cooking techniques
  • Coordinate kitchen workflow to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and workstations
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Implement and enforce food safety and sanitation standards
