Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
two or more years of retail banking experience including sales and cash handling
availability to work Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
strong math and computer skills
excellent communication and customer service skills
ability to adapt to policy changes
ability to maintain a secure cash drawer
ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
comply with all regulatory guidelines
ability to work in an office environment
self-motivated and detail-oriented

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
two or more years of retail bank experience including sales and cash handling
ability to recognize customer needs and suggest appropriate products or services
attention to detail and accuracy in transactions
good oral communication skills
ability to adapt to policy and procedure changes
self-motivated with customer service sales skills
computer proficiency
strong math skills
ability to maintain a neat and organized workstation
ability to coach and mentor tellers in effective referral skills

Job Duties

Sell or participate in selling bank products and services following established guidelines and procedures
promote additional business from existing customers
identify customer needs and explain product features in terms of benefits to the customer
provide basic information and answer customer inquiries about bank products and services
maintain a cash drawer and service customers approximately 80% of the time
process checking and savings transactions, cash checks within limits, and accept loan payments
sell personal money orders and cashier's checks
process mail deposits, night depository deposits, ATM deposits, and armored courier deposits
accept and verify loose and rolled coin and collect coin counting fees
process transactions at Drive-Up/Walk-Up Teller stations
maintain ATM supplies and balance
balance cash drawer and prepare teller blotter
maintain cash drawer security
research and resolve routine account issues
authorize overdrafts and approve checks within limits
perform file maintenance for commercial and retail customers
take requests for check orders and debit cards
perform wire transfers according to policy
develop ideas to promote new business and increase customer base
assist in balancing currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer
follow bank and regulatory policies and procedures
perform other duties as assigned or required
