Job Description
Minnwest is a family owned community bank operating primarily in Minnesota and South Dakota. The bank takes great pride in its deep community roots and commitment to positively impacting the areas it serves. Minnwest measures its success not only by financial outcomes but by the strength and vibrancy it helps to build within its local communities. The company lives by a set of core values that prioritize the customer first, emphasize keeping commitments, recognize the importance of teamwork, and highlight a proactive approach to getting things done efficiently and effectively. Minnwest is thus more than a financial institution; it is a community partner dedicated to providing excellent customer service and fostering long-term relationships with its customers.
The current employment opportunity at Minnwest Bank is for a full-time Universal Banker position based at the Sioux Falls East location. This role is essential for delivering a professional and courteous banking experience to all Minnwest customers. The Universal Banker acts as a frontline liaison, providing sales and service support tailored to each customer’s needs. This includes informing customers about various banking products and services, facilitating seamless transitions to specialized bankers or business partners for more complex retail and business banking services, and servicing existing accounts. Universal Bankers are also required to travel to different branches to ensure adequate staffing coverage and to attend training sessions at the Minnwest Bank Training Center in Eagan, Minnesota. Travel expenses are reimbursed or bank vehicles are provided for this purpose.
As a Universal Banker, one will be expected to provide prompt and courteous customer service, handle routine transaction processing, proactively identify sales and service opportunities, assist with account-related inquiries, and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all bank offerings. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with rotating Saturday shifts at an alternate branch. The role offers a competitive hourly wage in the range of $19.60 to $22.00 and includes participation in a paid bonus program contingent upon completion of different levels of job training and demonstration of proficiency. Minnesota residents seeking a customer-focused banking role with opportunities for professional growth and involvement in community-oriented work will find this position rewarding and aligned with Minnwest’s mission.
