The open position is a full-time role designed to support patient care areas through a combination of clerical duties and direct assistance under nurse supervision. This 12-hour day shift role is vital in coordinating department activities, facilitating efficient workflow by using various software tools, and ensuring effective communication among care teams. The employee will act as a key liaison within multiple units, managing patient scheduling, meals, supply inventory, and discharge support, among other responsibilities. Designated as the Revenue Lead, this role also includes revenue reconciliation and correction of charge errors following hospital policies, which highlights the importance of accuracy and attention to detail in the position. The successful candidate will assist with basic patient care activities such as answering call lights and providing aid as trained, contributing directly to the patient experience. Job Duties

  • Coordinate department activities and perform receptionist and clerical duties for patient care areas
  • Utilize various software programs to facilitate efficient workflow
  • Support multiple units each shift and ensure communication among care teams
  • Perform revenue reconciliation and charge-error correction as Revenue Lead
  • Coordinate patient care activities for ordered procedures using appropriate information systems
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, process special orders and charge appropriately
  • Assist Charge Nurse or Clinical Supervisor in timely discharge of patients
  • Answer call lights and provide basic patient assistance as trained
