The Unit Secretary position at Eastern Iowa Rehabilitation Hospital is a full-time, day-shift role with a focus on providing frontline administrative and receptionist support within the nursing unit. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hospital unit by handling non-clinical patient service tasks, managing communications, and supporting coordination between patients, families, medical staff, and other hospital departments. Responsibilities include initiating, maintaining, and closing electronic medical records, managing phone systems, responding to visitor inquiries, and providing excellent customer service. The role is essential for enhancing the patient experience and ensuring efficient unit operations.
