Job Requirements

- At least one year of secretarial experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficiency in operating office equipment and software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team

Job Duties
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and accurately transcribe physician's orders
- Complete assignments independently and demonstrate teamwork
- Accurately schedule and communicate patient information in compliance with hospital privacy policies
- Operate and apply unit equipment and software applications
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support hospital policy and patient safety
- Assist nursing staff with delegated tasks
- Greet and assist visitors, answer inquiries, direct them appropriately, and manage multi-line telephone systems professionally
