Job Requirements
- high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience in related field
- at least 1-year clerical experience in fast-paced healthcare setting including scheduling, answering phones, typing, filing
- basic understanding of insurance requirements
- knowledge and experience with medical terminology
- basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- excellent communication skills
- ability to maintain a positive professional demeanor in a demanding environment
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to quickly comprehend new techniques and concepts and adapt readily to change

Job Duties
- reviewing orders from physicians and scheduling therapy accordingly
- providing clear and accurate instructions to patients regarding upcoming appointments
- verifying insurance type and assuring required authorizations are in place for worker's compensation and state and county programs
- entering complete and accurate data utilizing computer technology
- ensuring existing data is accurate
- managing therapist and physician schedules to be as full and compactly scheduled as possible
- maintaining a positive and professional demeanor in a demanding environment
