Job Requirements

  • CNA license required
  • BLS certification required
  • Acute care experience within the last two years preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
  • Ability to operate office equipment including computers
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Empathetic and compassionate interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respond calmly in emergencies
  • Completion of competency assessments and safety reviews
  • Maintenance of required certifications as per hospital policy

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Serve as unit receptionist
  • Transcribe medical orders
  • Order tests and medical supplies
  • Coordinate unit phone communications
  • Transport patients
  • Stock shelves and maintain supply inventory
  • Clean work areas and maintain medical records
  • Report patient observations to nurses
  • Provide care for adult, pediatric, and newborn patients depending on unit
  • Complete competency assessments and annual safety reviews
  • Maintain CPR and certification renewals
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
