Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year bartending experience in high-volume environment
- Completion of state-mandated alcohol server training
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patrons
- Capacity to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Must comply with union membership and work eligibility rules
Job Qualifications
- Proven bartending experience often requiring 1+ years in a high-volume setting
- Strong knowledge of mixology, spirits, and beverage recipes
- State-mandated alcohol server training such as TIPS or SERVSAFE
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Physical stamina for standing and lifting
Job Duties
- Mix, garnish, and serve drinks according to standardized recipes ensuring quality and speed
- Greet patrons, take orders, make recommendations, and handle payments accurately
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and fully stocked bar area including washing glassware and managing inventory
- Check IDs for legal drinking age, adhere to safety regulations, and refuse service to intoxicated patrons
- Follow and potentially help enforce policies set by the collective bargaining agreement regarding working conditions, shifts, and safety
