The role of Baker at Uncle Tetsu involves preparing a variety of cakes, cookies, and tarts in adherence to the company’s exact recipes and standards. Job Requirements

  • Some high school
  • minimum one year of operations experience
  • food handler certification as required by local authorities acquired at applicant's own expense
  • reliable attendance
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • effective verbal communication skills
  • ability to use kitchen equipment safely
  • ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • capability to manage difficult situations

Job Qualifications

  • Some high school education
  • minimum one year of operations experience
  • knowledge of food safety practices
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • good communication skills
  • ability to train and guide team members
  • previous baking experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Preparing cheesecakes, cookies and tarts to meet Uncle Tetsu standard for flavor, color, and aroma
  • guiding Baker Assistant and assisting with their training
  • able to perform all Baker Assistant duties
  • maintaining cleanliness and organization in the baking area
  • ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • managing baking inventory and supplies
  • collaborating with team members to meet production goals
